How can Christianity teach doctrine(s) that contradicts the Torah?
For instance, the Torah is clear that 70 descendants of Ya’acov went down into Egypt while the Christian book of Acts claims 75 descendant went down into Egypt.
Christianity claims Jesus is G-D, and that he is the “son of man” and Paul claims Yeshki (Jesus/Yeshua) “became a curse for us” while the TORAH states, “G-D is not a man, that He should lie, nor the son of man” and “a G-D, perfect is He, without iniquity” –
Another example of a direct contradiction of the Torah is where Christian doctrine claims we are in bondage to a sin nature (e.g. Romans 6.15-16) while the Torah (B’rashith – Genesis 4.7) says, “you can rule over it” (rule over sin); and Ezekiel 18 teaches repentance for the wicked!
In another instance, Joseph names Jesus (Matthew 1.18-25) while it is claimed by Christianity that Isaiah 7.14 references the “virgin birth” (” ‘she’ shall call his name Immanu-El”) – As Jesus was never called/named Immanu-El by Miriam/Mary; but rather called/named Yeshua by Yoseph “his father” (Luke 2.48) so the prophet Isaiah 7.14 does not apply to the naming of Yeshua/Jesus!
Genesis states in two places that Jacob is buried in Machpelah. Genesis 49:29-30 And he charged them, and said unto them: ‘I am to be gathered unto my people; bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite, in the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field from Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a burying-place. Genesis 50:1-13 For his sons carried him into the land of Canaan, and buried him in the cave of the field of Machpelah, which Abraham bought with the field, for a possession of a burying-place, of Ephron the Hittite, in front of Mamre.
Joshua 24:32 states that Joseph is buried in Shechem.
And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they in Shechem, in the parcel of ground which Jacob bought of the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for a hundred pieces of money; and they became the inheritance of the children of Joseph.
The Christian Scriptures Acts 7:16-17 states Joseph is buried in Machpelah. Acts states that Abraham bought the tomb in Shechem. Genesis states it was Jacob who did the buying (Genesis 23:16-18; 33:18-19; 50:13; Joshua 24:32.
The Christian account of the buying of the burial place of Joseph and the account of where Joseph is buried cannot be reconciled with the Tanak (Jewish Bible).
In another instance, Matthew 2.23 makes up a verse allegedly quoting the Jewish Bible – Tanak (“he shall be called a Nazarene” appears nowhere in the Tanak)!
