Parshat Devarim – לֹ֥א חָסַ֖רְתָּ דָּבָֽר

B”H
Devarim 2.7  “For the L-RD, your G-D, has blessed you in all the work of your hand; He knows of your walking through this great desert; these forty years that the L-RD your G-D has been with you, you have lacked nothing.לֹ֥א חָסַ֖רְתָּ דָּבָֽר
Rashi: For the L-RD, your G-D, has blessed you: Therefore you should not be ungrateful for His goodness [to you] by acting as though you were poor. Rather, show yourselves as rich people.
Yochanan Mauritz Hummasti How should [the] one [people] “show yourselves as rich people?” Recognizing [that because] HaShem is Our Shepard “we lack nothing” By singing His praises of thanksgiving – like Melech David – (Tehillim 23):
“Adonai Roi, lo echsar. B’noth desheh yarbizayni al may menuchoth yenahalayni. Nafshi yeshovayv, Yanchayni vema’aglay tzehdehq le’ma’an She’mo. Gam ki aylaych b’gay tzalmaveth, lo iyra ra, ki atah imadi, shivtecha umishantehcha heymah yenachamooni. Ta’aroch lephanay shoolchan nehgehd tzorray; dishanta vashehmehn roshi, khosi revayah. Ach tov vachehsehd yirde’phooni khal yemay chay’y veshavti b’vayth Adonai le’oreech yamiym.”

  1. The scripture says, “G-D a-lakich with you lacks nothing” (Deuteronomy 2: 7) – then you have a reason and a twist, a twist and a reason alike: if you are happy in your part and “you lack nothing”, you are inspired by the Divine, “G-D A-lakich with you. ” And also in exchange for a reason and a twist: if “G-D a-lakich with you”, you feel that “G-D a-lakich with you” and everything from Him, and you are confident in Him and cling to Him and love, anyway “nothing is missing”: nothing is missing something for those who are in the King’s house ? (According to “Torat Avot”, from “Pearls for Shabbat”)
